Samantha Bruce Silvia (Sam) grew up in NYC as a dancer and actress working for her parents’ outdoor Shakespeare festival in Northern Manhattan. She began her passion for health and wellness with a Hot Yoga Certification from Yoga to the People in NYC in 2012. Upon moving to New England, she attended The Lincoln Technical Institute in Rhode Island, where she became a Licensed Massage Therapist in Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
She has since fallen in love with therapeutic massage techniques, helping her clients feel more grounded with gentle, thoughtful touch, including soothing relaxation-based sessions and incorporating guided meditation, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, and Reflexology.
She believes a quiet mind is medically crucial to our health and wellness, and utilizes slow, rhythmic repetition to quell a hyperactive nervous system and let the body rest and restore. She is especially honored to work with clients who may be facing difficult medical or emotional challenges, as she was inspired to go into bodywork after her mother’s cancer diagnosis.
Samantha loves learning new massage techniques, re-watching The Office, cooking, holistic nutrition, clowning, and hiking with her husband and two amazing dogs!
Sam’s certifications include:
- Massage Therapy (RI and MA)
- Certified Manual Lymphatic Drainage Therapy from the Klose Institute (RI and MA)
- Prenatal Massage
- Cupping Therapy
- Hot Yoga Instructor
